Strongbow can earn a 70% interest in the 22,683 hectare Bear Property as part of a joint venture with Stornoway Diamond Corporation. The property is located approximately 10 km east of Ashton’s diamondiferous Potentilla kimberlite. Exploration to date has consisted of property wide heli-borne magnetic and electromagnetic surveying at 150 m line spacing (approximately 1900 line kilometres) completed in April 2002 as well as regional till sampling programs conducted during the 2002 and 2003 summer field seasons. A total of 400 samples have been collected from the property.
A single drill hole was completed in 2004 to test a target in the northern part of the property, however kimberlite was not intersected.
