Strongbow's 100% owned Starfish property is comprised of 9 mineral claims
(8,864 hectares) in three blocks located 40 km southwest of the Diavik Diamond
Mine on Lac de Gras. Stronoway Diamond Corporation currently has an option
to earn a 51% interest in the property. The claims were originally acquired
to cover distinct target areas identified as a result of a review of past
exploration reported by earlier workers. Strongbow has conducted three exploration
programs on the property, including limited till sampling in the summers
of 2002 and 2003 and a spring 2003 detailed helicopterborne electromagnetic/magnetic
geophysical survey. Kimberlite indicator mineral counts for till samples
collected in the area are generally low, typically less than 10 grains. However
the complete suite of indicator minerals is present, including purple (pyrope)
and orange (eclogitic) garnet, chrome diopside, chromite, ilmenite and olivine.
Further, results of the airborne geophysical survey indicate that several
of the targets that the claims were intended to cover are of sufficient interest
to warrant drill testing. A drill program conducted by Stornoway in spring
2004 failed to intersect kimberlite.
