Strongbow Confirms Exploration Plans for the Midway and Parker Projects

Strongbow Exploration Inc. (SBW: TSXV) is pleased to confirm that exploration plans remain unchanged for its Midway gold project in Lancaster County, South Carolina.

The first exploration drilling program at the Midway gold project is expected to start within the next week. The project is located within the historic Haile-Brewer gold trend, adjacent to Romarco Minerals' (R: TSX) Haile gold mine property. Romarco is currently seeking regulatory approvals and permits for the development of a gold mining operation at the Haile deposit. On Friday April 1, 2011, in response to various press reports, Romarco reported that it will be working with the appropriate regulatory agencies to address specific concerns that have been raised through the permitting process. Any change in the timelines related to the permitting process for the Haile mine will have no impact on Strongbow's exploration plans for the Midway project or the Company's other exploration activities in the Carolina slate belt. Strongbow's underlying agreements with private land owners are in good standing and all required approvals for the upcoming drilling program have been received from the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control.

As reported last week (please see the Strongbow News Release dated March 30, 2011), Strongbow has also started exploration work at the Parker gold mine property in North Carolina. Initial geochemical surveys and mapping are expected to be completed within the next two weeks and planning is underway for a first ever diamond drilling program scheduled for June. The Parker property is zoned for heavy industrial use including a mining permit issued by the North Carolina Department of Environment and Natural Resources.

Ken Armstrong, Strongbow's President and CEO commented, "Strongbow remains committed to our exploration strategy in the Carolina slate belt of the southeastern United Sates. It is a highly prospective region with a long history of gold production and excellent transportation and power infrastructure. In addition to the Midway and Parker properties, we continue to pursue new opportunities in under-explored regions of the belt."

Strongbow's 2011 exploration programs are conducted under the supervision of David Gale, P.Geo. (BC), Vice-President of Exploration for Strongbow and a qualified person under NI 43-101.
